Alberta Oil- Cloudy Days Ahead

leave a comment »

Alberta is still hoping for the good old days and hitching its wagon on pumping up oil production in the hope it can get its oil to tide waters to sell to International market. Even if by some chance Alberta does get its tidewater Pipeline, will the international market be there to sell too?

Within the next 20-25 years oil being used for gasoline will be a thing of the past with the emerging electric car. Presently gasoline represents about 47% of all oil production. With the electric car moving into the market place this share of the oil market will inevitability shrink. For those that don’t believe that electric cars can compete with the gasoline automobiles, better think again. The folks that didn’t believe the horse and buggy could be replaced by the gasoline driven car were sadly mistaken and devistated when their industry disappeared. Ironically the buggy loyalists were using many of the same reasons the horse and buggy couldn’t be replaced as todays naysayers are using against the electric car.

In 2018, Americans used about 143 billion gallons of motor gasoline—or about 391 million gallons per day. Ninty Two Percent (92%) of of all gasoline consumed in the US was from Light-duty vehicles (cars, sport utility vehicles, and small trucks) which are now being converted to electric. Forty seven percent (47%) of all oil production is going to be replaced by electric. Today just drive down the street and see how many cars are 20 years or older. Not many. In 20 years you will drive down the street and see just a few gasoline driven vehicles. The major car companies are all jumping on the bandwagon. Even diesel 18 wheelers are being tested using electric engines. The transition to electric will take a big bite out of oil producers world wide, not just Alberta.

With electric cars getting GOOD milage, between 300-480 kilometres on a full charge and QUICK charging within 30 minutes the transition is underway. In 2020 there is going to be at least 11 new models coming to market. Fords company’s CEO Mark Fields said that he wants 40% of Ford’s nameplates to have an electrified version by 2020. There is no turning back.

We are now at the stage the Ford model T was when it was first introduced. It was too expensive for the average person to buy. 15 years later it was everywhere thanks to the invention of the assembly line. The horse and buggy disappeared within 20 years along with all the industries that supported it.

Today is not the first time the world has transitioned into a new more efficient energy. Today’s s change has very little to with climate change (global warming) and everything to do with efficiency and profit. The public and business can charge their own vehicles plus no expensive engine work. All the cons of electric car ownership are disappearing.

With electric transportation moving its way up the S curve , the seventy percent (70%) of a barrel of oil going to produce gasoline and diesel will be cut back drastically. This shift is going to have a very negative future impact on Alberta and Albertans especially if your under 40 years old. We will still be producing oil but a lot less. Every other oil producing country has the same problem. Alberta will have some very tough competition just to keep some of the US market that we have enjoyed over the years. Trying to be the new kid on the block in an international marketplace desperate to sell their product will be all but impossible.

Alberta has to stop its fixation on pipelines and oil and start thinking how we can jump on board this new energy wave. If we don’t we will take our place in history beside the horse and buggy manufactures. Not a pleasant thought.

Canada – ON THE BRINK!

leave a comment »

Socialism in Venezuela is causing death, destruction, suffering and chaos. No food, no order, no hope! Facing no hope for the future, the People of Venezuela will now accept or be forced to accept their new dictator! Unfortunately whats happening in Venezuela is shaping up in Canada and  America! High taxes, high energy prices, class warfare, MSM propaganda to cause chaos. We are on the brink of loosing many of our our freedoms as the population sleeps.

David Rockefeller Quote:

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years……It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The super national sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination (self determination) practiced in past centuries.”

China plans to rank all its citizens based on their “social credit” by 2020.

The problem I have with Rockefeller and his UN world Government isn’t that he’s necessarily totally wrong, it’s that he’s building a new elitist socialist (communist) based world government on deceit, deception and manufactured media lies that is destabilizing our country making it ripe for taking over . This is a recipe for disaster for us little people. We will have no meaningful input into who’s going to rule us. Very scary.

As Canadians we have been sidetracked from the real issue like the never ending health care debate ,gay rights, adoration, pipelines, gender issues, political correctness , fake racism while Trudeau is steaming ahead with Rockefeller’s ‘plan’ to denationalize Canada and join the new world government. As Trudeau said himself just after he won the election “CANADA IS THE FIRST POST NATIONAL COUNTRY”.

So what is the plan in a nutshell? As Rockefeller put it , an authoritative elite (communism) would be the preferred rulers. These rulers with unlimited power would make sure all citizens are equal. Those with affluence would be taxed to the point they would have vey little money left over to invest and become wealthy. Inequality would no longer be tolerated . Like Germany today we would become more reliant on the government. The bottom line, the only people to benefit from capitalism are the ones that govern. The rest of us would have no chance to reach for the stars because we are being taxed and bullied into submission by our rulers.

George Bush Sr. in 1990 mention’s New world order

Stifling peoples dreams and self determination isn’t the way to the future. It’s taken centuries to shake off the shackles of our oppressors. The great Pharaoh’s, the Roman Empire the monarchy’s, Hitler all faded away but the people all marched forward for their freedom. Today the Rockefeller plan is just another grab for power that Im hopeful will be recognized before it sweeps us backwards into the hands of our oppressors.

Before you cast your vote in the upcoming Canadian election ,you may want to know what side you are voting for. The Rockefeller Plan or self determination . These are the only two issues that really count today. All other issues are just political fluff.

Alberta – Think Forward not Separation

with one comment

Horse and buggy 1901

Progress moves very swift. In 1900 the horse and buggy was the transportation of the day . Within 13 years the model T was being mass produced bringing the price within the working class budget ending the horse and buggy era for good along with all those businesses supporting it. Those who didn’t heed the new technology were wiped out. It’s time Alberta learn a lesson and start thinking forward .

Norton Greene, a U.S. historian “People lose not from some fault of their own, but because they are in the wrong place in history.”

Investing in pipelines is like the buggy makers in 1905 making plans to expand their manufacturing capacity just as cars were about to take over the transportation industry in 10 years. There were 10,000 buggy makers now there is only a handful. I’ll bet they wished they had geared up for the new transportation revolution. According to Bloomberg, by 2040, 54 percent of all new car sales will be for EVs. Maybe sooner.

Alberta’s obsession with pipelines is blinding Albertans from perusing or even discussing opportunities needed for the future . The billions earmarked for pipelines could be used in Alberta for new industries that could supply jobs and prosperity for decades. Why invest billions into the oil industry when it’s become obvious that the federal government and foreign forces are blocking any attempts to reach a shipping port. Yesterday the US Democrats we’re blocking the Keystone Pipeline, today China is blocking all Canadian meat products over a diplomatic row. Its become obvious China and countries like them are not a stable client for Alberta oil unless we concede to their every whim. I wouldn’t want to bet my future on this type of erratic client.

Approximately 25% of oil productions  is used for transportation. With electric vehicle production gaining steam (just like the gasoline powered car did with the buggy) less gasoline will be needed. It only took 25 years for the main source of ground transportation in early 1900 (HORSE AND BUGGY) to all but disappear. Today we are in the midst of moving from the combustion engine to the electric engine.

The same arguments for not using cars over the horse and buggy are being used today against electric vehicles.

  • Cars won’t work in the snow and cold. Only a horse is reliable.
  • Can only fill your car up in the city. No gas stations.
  • Car is to expensive for the average family.
  • repairs too costly.

Of course all these problems were worked out and by 1928 Ford sold 15 million model T’s. The horse and buggy was history

Again like the model T in its time, an Israeli start-up has claimed an electric plane it is building will revolutionize commuter travel and will be set to test in 2019. There is no question we are in the midst of another industrial revolution.

I think Albertans have to stop playing into Trudeau’s divide and conquer. Let Jason Kenny fight the battle with the federal liberals.  While Kenny does his part Albertans would be wise to think less about about the good old glory days in the past and separation and start a conversation on what can carry Albertans into the future while we still have oil revenue incoming in.

The future is not the horse and buggy.

Is Bernier The Conservative Benedict Arnold?

leave a comment »

Is Maxine Bernier sabotaging The Conservative party of Canada or has he just got a case of really bad political judgement?

Just prior to the Conservative 2018 convention in Halifax Bernier launched a tirade of tweets and speeches to do away with supply management. By calling Ontario dairy farmers ‘Fake Conservatives ‘ and not telling the whole story about Canadian milk prices he portrayed  the dairy farmers out to be unscrupulous millionaires. Many of these farmers have been conservatives for decades and here is Bernier kicking them in the face right when the conservatives are having their big convention with all eyes on them. Is this just poor political judgement or is Bernier purposely sabotaging Andrew Scheer the leader of the conservative party?

Supply management may or may not be good for Canada, but it most certainly is not an issue the conservatives what to own going into an election. Since few people in Canada understand the issue, the Liberals with the media friends can easily define it to their own benefit leaving the conservatives on the defensive , especially in vote rich Ontario. I can’t believe that Bernier didn’t know this.

The wiser position for the conservative party to take, rather than trying to explain supply management , is to make Trudeau defend his policies which most Canadians already understand and the media is stuck with since they have been promoting them. It will be a lot easier for Scheer to let Trudeau defend the un-defendable Carbon tax, Illegal immigration, lack of building pipelines, stifling free speech to mention a few. Since an election is short, voters have to quickly understand the issues. Supply management isn’t an issue most voters are going to understand easily. Again, I can’t believe that Bernier didn’t know.

This isn’t the first time that Bernier embarrassed the conservative party and had to leave. As Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2008 under the Harper government Bernier lost classified foreign affairs documents at his girlfriend’s home putting PM Harper’s judgement into serious question. To make matters worse, Bernier girlfriend, Julie Couillard, had links to the criminal underworld. He didn’t even run any security check on her. This is mind boggling how a foreign affairs minister could have let this fiasco take place. I was skeptical it was just bad judgement than just as I am skeptical of the timing of Bernier’s departure from the conservative party now.

Today Bernier continues to embarrass and accuse the federal Conservatives of abandoning its core conservative principles and to start his own party that could split the conservative vote. Just the idea that Bernier, who calls himself a conservative, would knowingly allow the Trudeau liberals an opportunity to win the 2019 election is bizarre to say the least. Again is this just a case of bad judgement?

Andrew Scheer has just come off a big win in Quebec. He has also got Trudeau in a position where he will have to go on the defensive and explain all the liberal policies on illegal immigration , carbon tax to a public that doesn’t want either. A winning strategy.

So! Does Bernier want Andrew Scheer to win or Justin Trudeau to win? His actions against the conservative party is making him look like the Benedict Arnold of the conservative party.

Seriously! Notley’s Alberta’s Pipeline Champion

leave a comment »

The push to get a seaport for Alberta oil has all but disappeared. Less than a few years ago Alberta and Canada was  optimistically debating the need to ship Alberta oil to the east or west so we could sell our oil internationally and get top dollar instead of discounting our product traveling to the US. Today there are only a handful of diehards still pushing for a Gateway or the Energy East Pipeline. Politician are now shifting our attention to yet another pipeline project, the twinning of Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain Pipeline that presently supply’s BC ,Washington and the new upgrade at Westridge Marine Terminal to overseas. The Project will increase the system’s capacity from 300,000 barrels a day to 890,000  and allow us to enter new international markets that could result in Canada earning approximately $3.7 billion more per year and breaking the stronghold the US has on our oil.

Yes! That’s Notley on the side protesting Alberta oil and pipelines

Just like the Gateway and Energy East, the Trans Mountain  pipeline debacle has become laughable  . We now have two socialist NDP parties, Alberta’s Premier Rachel Notley’s and BC’s Premier John Horgan’s who both don’t want a Pipeline, going to WAR on new, already federally approved, Trans Mountain pipeline should proceed from Alberta through BC to Burnaby. Notley, an anti pipeline protester, has now become Alberta’s champion . It’s absurd!

It’s become obvious there are very powerful forces that don’t want Alberta heavy oil to get to a sea port via pipeline.  Ironically shipping oil by train and truck doesn’t seem to grab the harsh headlines as does oil pipelines. Also it’s very strange that over the past few years a new addition to the Westridge Marine terminal on the west coast has been approved and is under construction to handle more oil tankers (filled by pipe or train) with little protest except for the ‘Trudeau Brigade’. This a protest group who hangs on PM Trudeau’s encouraging words “that the people have the final say” not the federal government .

So Whats with the hyperbole of a trade war between Alberta and BC?

New BC Westridge Marine Terminal to Overseas.

Power for one. The federation of Canada is being challenged on its authority . if the federal government doesn’t have the power to make national decisions in the public interest we end up with a country that is destabilized. The only group that would benefit from this would be socialist who can showcase how ineffective our system is. The trade war isn’t about a pipeline, it’s about power and control. Alberta oil is going to flow. Bills have to be paid.

The fact is premier Notley, Horgan,PM Trudeau and federal NDP leader Jagmeet Sing are all on board with the trade war chaos. This is why I think ‪an Alberta trade war with BC is all smoke and mirrors! I think Alberta will be sucked down the well. Real champions like UPC Leader Kenny and all conservatives  have to come up with a better way than a trade war to enforce jurisdictions,  save Alberta’s oil industry and save the Canadian free enterprises way. Cutting off oil ,wine etc to BC might get Alberta politicians votes in the short-term but won’t solve anything. Alberta needs a long-term plan. A plan that Notley can’t steal from UCP Jason Kenney come election time. In the meantime using train to transport oil is the option.
